“LIBERATION” celebrates the transcendent power of music with a program of these Yiddish resistance and freedom songs from WWII. It will be followed by the Symphony Hall premieres of two works by composers who perished in the Holocaust. World-renowned pianist Beth Levin will perform Beethoven’s sublime Piano Sonata No. 31 in A-flat Major, Opus 110. Our 2025 TMF Gala marks the 80th anniversary of more than 43,000 Nazi camps throughout Europe.
