OUR ANNUAL GALA
TMF is funded solely by donations, and the annual Gala is our only fundraising event. It enables us to keep the Terezin legacy alive.
Terezín Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the musical legacy of composers lost in the Holocaust and striving to fulfill their unrealized artistic and mentoring roles with new commissions by emerging composers.
TMF is building the genre of “transcendence art” with our new commissions, performed internationally in major venues by celebrity artists. TMF commission premieres are woven into our ongoing work producing concerts, commemorative events, recordings, publications, and Holocaust education programs in the U.S. and Europe.
TMF commissions are a poignant call to honor life, humanity, and the creative spirit. Our performances, including concerts produced through our ongoing partnership with the Prague Spring Festival, bring the Terezín story to international audiences.
TMF is founded and directed by Fulbright scholar and Boston Symphony Orchestra violist Mark Ludwig. The internationally recognized performing artists, composers, and scholars on our Advisory Board champion TMF’s mission around the world.
