THE ARNEIS QUARTET
The Arneis Quartet is known for playing with “a conviction that commands attention” (Fanfare) and “a unique collective sound which is as warm and full of sparkle as liquid gold” (Boston Musical Intelligencer). The Boston Globe called a recent performance “an intense, indelible experience.” Arneis has worked with members of the Muir, St. Lawrence, Cleveland, Lydian, Brentano, Emerson and Juilliard quartets and performed with celebrated guest artists. Winners of the 2010 John Lad Prize and silver medal at the 2012 International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition, the Quartet has received numerous fellowships and appeared in festivals throughout the world. “Arneis Quartet and Friends,” a Centaur Records recording of music by John H. Wallace, was released to critical acclaim in 2016.
